Project Update
Let’s update! It’s been a while since anyone has adventured past their back garden but the Breakthrough Resilience partnership has gone above and beyond to keep us moving through these troubling times.
The partnership has been regularly meeting online, through our new best friend Zoom.
Where would we be without it?
During December, Mobilizing Expertise led an online film training session for partners to then go on to create films with their local participants, some of which participated in the UK pilot workshop. Individuals will create videos about their experience taking part in the workshop and applying any resilience tools learned in their daily lives, work, or a group/community they are part of.
The partnership is steadily making progress on the Resilience Facilitator’s Guide and although we’ve only met once physically in Sweden, all the way back in November 2019, the partnership has continued to meet online and carry out training on Resilient People, Places and Communities. Definitely, something that’s needed more than ever. We hope to reschedule these training later on in the project timeline.
The partnership will meet next on Tuesday, April 20 for our Facilitators’ Training. The training will be led and ran by Surefoot (our partner from Scotland). We’ll learn more about the workshops for individual resilience and possible techniques and strategies for leading online trainings.
